A List Of Good Brokers

Here at IFINA – we don’t recommend an individual broker.

The reason is simple. The “best” broker is often dependent on a client’s individual circumstances and jurisdiction.

But having said that, we do often get asked for the brokers we would be happy to work with. In this blog post, I’d like to share a list of good brokers that we’ve worked with in the past.

The likelihood is that they could provide a good service for you too:

  • Interactive Brokers
  • Saxo
  • Charles Schwab
  • Swissquote
  • Britannia Global Markets
  • LMAX
  • Advanced Markets

When you look for a broker, you should use this checklist when deciding whether they’re the right fit for you.

Regulation & Security: use a regulated broker in one of the major jurisdictions, such as in the UK, EU and USA.

Transaction Costs: use a broker that offers a Professional Account with competitive spreads.

Deposit & Withdrawal: a good broker will allow you to deposit funds and withdraw your earnings hassle-free.

Trading Platform: the trading platform of your FX broker should be user-friendly and stable.

Execution: it’s a regulatory requirement that a broker ‘fills’ your order at the best possible price.

Personal Account Manager: the ability to speak to someone directly is extremely important should there be an unexpected shock to the financial markets.
